The Foam Party on the Side Dolphin Boat
The last part of the day is the loudest. What the foam party is, when it happens, and how to enjoy the ride home without it.
Short answer
The foam party on the Side dolphin boat trip happens on the way home, after the last swim: the music goes up and foam covers part of the deck. It is included in the fare and entirely optional — join in and dance, or keep to a dry corner of the boat and watch the coast go by.
When and where it happens
The foam party is the closing act. After the swims at the river mouth, at Dolphin Island and at the final stop, the boat heads back towards the harbour, and somewhere on that stretch the music is turned up and the foam comes on. It fills part of the deck, not all of it.
By then the swimming is over, which is part of the logic: nobody has to dry off and get back into the water afterwards. You leave the boat with the music still in your ears and step into the vehicle for the hotel.
The boat is back in the harbour around 16:30–17:00, so the party is the last thing you do aboard before the drive to your hotel. The day, stop by stop shows where it falls.
Who joins in
Whoever wants to. The foam party is part of the onboard entertainment that the fare includes, but nobody is expected to take part. You can be in the middle of it from the first song or stay in your seat with a drink from the bar; either is a fine way to end the day.
Parents decide for their own children. The foam is on the deck, so keep an eye on little ones who want to play in it, as you would by a pool.
How to stay out of it
- Pick a seat away from the foam area when the music changes; it covers only part of the deck.
- Keep phones, cameras and bags out of the foam — a sealed bag helps.
- Have a dry layer ready for the ride home if you do join in.
This is practical advice from us, not a description of a fixed layout: the boat and its seating are the operator's.
Is the foam party a reason to choose this trip?
It is a fun finish, not the point of the day. The point is the river, the swims and the open water around Yunus Adası, where wild dolphins live and on a lucky day appear. If you are booking a quiet day for two, the couples guide explains how to keep it that way; if you are booking for a lively group, the party is a good last hour. Either way it costs nothing extra — book the day and decide on board.
