What Costs Extra on the Side Dolphin Boat
Four things are outside the fare. None is needed for the day, and we give no price for any of them — here is why, and what to carry.
Short answer
Four things on the Side dolphin boat trip cost extra: drinks from the bar on board, the optional all-inclusive drinks package, the optional professional photos, and your own spending and souvenirs. Everything else — the hotel transfer, lunch, the foam party, guiding and travel insurance — is in the fare of €21. All four extras are optional and bought on the day.
The four extras, one by one
- Drinks. Lunch is served without one. The bar sells cold soft drinks and alcohol, paid as you order.
- The drinks package. An all-inclusive option offered on the boat, for guests who would rather not pay drink by drink.
- Professional photos. Offered on board as an option. Buy them if you like them; nothing obliges you to.
- Personal spending. Souvenirs and anything else you choose to buy during the day.
Why we print no prices for them
The operator's record lists these four items but gives no figure for any of them. We could guess, or copy a number from somewhere else, and it would be wrong for some guests on some days. So we print none. You see the prices on the boat, before you buy, and you decide there.
What we can promise is the other side: the fare itself has no hidden part. What the booking summary shows is what you pay on the day, with no booking fee and no transfer surcharge. The prices page sets out each age row.
What is not an extra
- The round trip between your hotel and the boat, anywhere in the pickup belt.
- The BBQ lunch on deck.
- The foam party, the music and the rest of the entertainment on board.
- Professional guiding on board.
- Full-day travel insurance.
- The swims — at the river mouth, at Dolphin Island and at the last stop.
How much cash to carry
We cannot give a figure without bar prices, so think of it this way: the fare for your party, in euros, plus whatever you expect to spend on drinks and, if you want them, the photos. Drinks for children are bought like anyone else's. We have no record of card payment on board, so cash is the safe choice. The lunch and bar guide has more on the drinks.
One thing no money buys
A dolphin sighting is not for sale, here or anywhere. Wild dolphins and Caretta caretta turtles live in the waters around Yunus Adası, and on a lucky day they come close; on another day they do not. The is it worth it guide weighs the day on its own terms. If it suits you, book your places — nothing is charged until the trip.
